Welcome to the How-Do UK Public Services Communications Awards

Following the success of previous years’ events and demand from national organisations, the How-Do Public Services Communications Awards 2011 has been extended throughout the UK. The winners were announced at an event at the Comedy Store, Manchester on Tuesday 15 November.

The UK is blessed with an abundance of highly skilled communicators and quality communications initiatives from not-for-profit bodies and major foundations, in addition to the wealth of expertise prevalent in local and regional government and the front-line emergency services.

The How-Do Public Services Communications Awards will continue to celebrate excellence, create real benchmarks for the future and most importantly, bring together senior communicators from across the UK to network, develop and enhance relationships and celebrate current and future success. The awards will feature 19 categories, plus a grand prix award, and in common with other How-Do events, the awards will be anchored by a high-level and independent judging panel who bring their wealth of experience and expertise to bear.

The event, which will took place on 15 November 2011, in Manchester, featured a conference, buffet dinner and awards presentation.

The awards were free to enter and we we're looking to receive entries from public service organisations or their marketing agencies from across the UK.

The timetable for the awards was:

Wednesday 22 June – Awards launch, entries open

Thursday 15 September –Deadline for all entries

Friday 23 September - extended deadline for entries

Wednesday 5 October – Judging session
